September Meeting with Congressman David Kustoff
President Carrie Schween had the extreme pleasure of welcoming Congressman David Kustoff to our monthly September luncheon. We are thankful he took the time to genuinely meet our members, share, and answer questions taken from those present. Thank you Kathy Reagan for helping with attendance, Sergeant of Arms duties, and also for donating the table decorations.
Additionally, we are thankful to our members for their generous support of books to help Germanshire Elementary stock their classrooms. Our MELP Chair, Judy Kilmer, did a fabulous job organizing and helping Shelby County Republican Women's Club serve this school with excellence!

Caring for America Chair, Pam O'Brien, introduced our next month's support for the local organization, Memphis Veterans Village, developed by Tunnel to Towers. Volunteerism Chair, Tina Montgomery, recognized Shelly Cheng and Linda Strong as top volunteers for the past few months. If you base the hours our club has donated and equate them to a dollar value, we have saved/earned $265,737 for the year. Pretty impressive ladies!! AND, 68% of the volunteer hours inputted is from our board members. SO, that means - we need the entire membership to submit your hours for everything you do in relation to our Club, GOP activities, Campaigning, etc. It's super easy! Our Legislative Chair, LaUna Brubaker, kept us up-to-date with the on-goings within Tennessee and the nation. She's brilliant and a huge asset to our club!
We invite you to prayer for: our friends/family who do not know Christ, unity with Republicans, club leadership perseverance, members who are ill, protection for elected and representative leaders in our nation, states and cities and for our own spirits to be calm during the storms always looking to the Father knowing he knows the map and the destination before we do ourselves.
